Glyn Davies, President and Chief Executive Officer
Glyn Davies joined ReVera in March 2010 as President, Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the company’s Board of Directors. Glyn has held a variety of positions in executive management, business development, marketing and sales. Most recently, he served four years as President of Negevtech, Inc., a venture-backed semiconductor capital equipment start-up. Under his leadership, Negevtech increased market share and grew revenues to greater than $30M. Prior to Negevtech, Glyn served as the Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Credence Systems, with a focus on strategic marketing and M&A. During his time at Credence, he drove several strategic acquisitions, developed the company’s product portfolio and increased served markets. Prior to Credence, Glyn spent 11 years at KLA-Tencor, a multi-billion dollar wafer inspection and metrology equipment provider. He held senior management positions in business development and marketing, and was responsible for the formation and leadership of the Yield Management Software group at Tencor before the merger with KLA. Prior to KLA-Tencor, he served in marketing and engineering positions at Cambridge Instruments and Nanometrics. Glyn holds a BS in Electronic Computer and Systems Engineering from Loughborough University, England.

Tim Welch, Chief Financial Officer
Tim has over 20 years experience working with Silicon Valley technology-based companies. Prior to joining ReVera, Tim was CFO at Boxer Cross, a Metrology company that was sold to Applied Materials. Tim has also been CFO of Promptu Corporation and Asyst Technologies where he took the company public as CFO. In addition to his Finance experience, he has held a number of operating positions including President of Imtec Acculine. Tim has an MBA from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from CSU Chico.more
Rodney Smedt, VP of Engineering
Rodney Smedt joined ReVera in 2005, and has over twenty years of experience in successful engineering management, including product development and rollout to manufacturing. Prior to joining ReVera, Rodney served as the Vice President of Engineering for Therma-Wave Inc.Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Engineering for Sensys Instruments, which was acquired by Therma-Wave in January 2002. Prior to Sensys, he was Sr. Director of Engineering for KLA-Tencor's Integrated Metrology Division and, prior to that, Director of Systems Engineering for KLA-Tencor's highly successful un-patterned wafer inspection products starting in 1989. Prior to KLA-Tencor he developed numerous products for the semiconductor industry in addition to co-founding an automated wafer inspection equipment business. Mr. Smedt's background is in mechanical engineering, with emphasis on precision opto-mechanics and systems engineering. He holds key wafer inspection, metrology and wafer handling patents.more
Dave Reed, Chief Technology Officer
Dave Reed has been the Chief Technology Officer of ReVera, Incorporated since its founding in 2003, holding a key leadership role in the spin out of ReVera from Physical Electronics. He joined Physical Electronics as Director of R&D and has been responsible for various technology development and planning activities, as well as product planning for the Metrology Division of Physical Electronics. Prior to Physical Electronics, Dr. Reed was a Director at Charles Evans and Associates, driving the development of new instruments for surface analysis and ultratrace level mass spectrometry. He has also managed the Analytical Facility of the University of Illinois Materials Research Laboratory. Dr. Reed holds three active patents and more than 30 articles in referred journals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Linfield College, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science from the University of Illinois.more
Tom Larson, VP of Marketing
Tom Larson joined Physical Electronics in 2002 and held a substantial role with the original management team leading the spin out of ReVera from Physical Electronics in 2003. He has over 21 years of capital equipment industry experience mostly in the process control arena. Since the founding of ReVera, Tom has held multiple assignments in sales and marketing for ReVera. Prior to ReVera, he held roles in process integration at Applied Materials, helping build and execute their internal metrology strategy. Prior to Applied Materials, he held multiple technical and marketing roles at KLA-Tencor and Tencor Instruments. He holds a BS in Physics from Arizona State University.more
Scott Ritterbush, Sr. Director of Asia Pacific Sales
Scott joined ReVera in 2006 to lead Asia-Pacific sales. He has been responsible for increasing ReVera’s market share and strengthening the company’s presence in the region. Prior to ReVera, he led business development activities for NxEdge, Inc., a global supplier of semiconductor materials solutions. Scott has over fifteen years of semiconductor capital equipment experience, including roles in process engineering, product marketing, and equipment refurbishment at Applied Materials. He holds SB and SM degrees from MIT.more
